MarketWatch and Barrons recently reached out their subscribers with the following email:

“Dear Valued Portfolio Subscriber,

We are contacting you today about a major service change to MarketWatch Portfolio. MarketWatch Portfolio, which is provided by our external partner Next Capital, will be retired on January 14, 2016. From this date on, you will no longer be able to access your Portfolio on MarketWatch.com, or receive MarketWatch Portfolio emails.

For your convenience, we have incorporated functionality into Watchlist that allows you to follow companies and enter cost basis and holdings for those companies. And as a digital subscriber, you will enjoy full access through our desktop, tablet and mobile web. Create your new Watchlist at: http://www.marketwatch.com/watchlist

As for your existing Portfolio, you can either delete your personal portfolio data or create a login to allow you to access your portfolio directly on Nextcapital.com. Keep in mind that you will not be able to access MarketWatch articles on their site. To delete your existing personal portfolio data with our external partner, Next Capital, CLICK HERE. To create a login to access your existing personal portfolio data on Nextcapital.com going forward, CLICK HERE. As an added benefit, all Next Capital subscribers will be opted in to a daily or weekly email, depending on their prior preferences. These emails will include an opt out link. Please note that they will not contain news or specific portfolio details.

For any questions or inquiries, call our customer service team at 1-800-JOURNAL. Thank you again for being a loyal subscriber and we hope to continue to inspire, inform, and fuel your ambition.

Sincerely,

The MarketWatch Team”
